The Rebelution Tour's first stop was on March 11, 2006, in Sacramento, CA, where nearly 500 teens and parents came tgeother for a day of worship, teaching, and fellowship. But our story actually begins in Dayton, OH, way back in 1981.

It was there, on a rainy Saturday morning, that home-school pioneer Gregg Harris held the first of many home schooling workshops. Over the next 15 years more than 180,000 families worldwide would be launched into a new frontier of teaching their children at home.

Having helped to start the movement, Gregg and his wife, Sono, now living in Gresham, OR, settled back into the routine of leading by example; raising their own children to impact the culture for Christ.

The first test of this strategy came courtesy of firstborn son, Josh, with his New Attitude Magazine and Teen Conferences (1993-97). Standing on his father’s shoulders, 18-year-old Josh challenged his generation to rethink the way they approached work, school, their futures, and their relationships with the opposite sex. His first book, I Kissed Dating Goodbye (1997), has sold nearly a million copies.

Now, nine years later, Josh is serving as Senior Pastor of Covenant Life Church (covlife.org) in Gaithersburg, MD, with a wife, two children, and another kiddo on the way.

So, who will rally Christian teens today? How about a couple of kid brothers?

At 17 years old, Alex and Brett's success in home-school speech and debate (ncfca.org) is demonstrated by six national championships. Now, following in the footsteps of their older brother, the twins are speaking out with a challenge for their own generation.

Co-authors of the award-winning blog, The Rebelution, Alex and Brett now join with their father to communicate the messages of "the myth of adolescence," "do hard things," "the power of companionship," and "getting the gospel right," to a world that cannot survive another generation of Christian young people who fit in.

What is the Rebelution?
  • It’s a movement among Christian youth from around the world to throw off the shackles of low cultural expectations.
  • It’s a cry for young people to return to historic levels of Christian character and competence.
  • It’s a network of young men and women who are mutually committed to glorifying God by “doing hard things” in their teen years.
  • It’s a reformation by those who recognize the biblical commandment to use the teen years, not as a vacation from responsibility, but as the launching pad for all of life.
This is just the beginning of the story...
